8 Rumus Tenses "Past"

1.      Simple Past Tense

·         Menyatakan peristiwa di masa lampau.

Rumus :

(+): S + V2

(–): S + did + not + V1

(?) : Did + S + V1

Contoh:

(+): He read a novel

(-) : He did not read a novel

(?) : Did he read a novel?

2.      Past Continuous Tense

·         Menyatakan waktu berlangsung lampau

Rumus :

(+): S + was / were + Ving + O/C

(-): S + was / were + not + Ving + O/C

(?): was / were + S + Ving O/C

Contoh :

(+) She was driving a car

(-) She was not driving a car

(?) was she driving a car?

3.      Past Perfect Tense

Rumus :

(+): S + had + V3

(-) : S + had + not + V3

(?) : had + S + V3

Contoh :

(+): The girl had studied mathematic well.

(-) : The girl had not studied mathematic well.

(?) : Had the girl studied mathematic well?

4.      Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Rumus:

(+): S + had + Been + Ving

(-) : S + had + Not + Been + Ving

(?) : had + S + Been + Ving

Contoh :

(+): It had been raining since 7 o’clock

(-) : It had not been raining since 7 o’clock

(?) : Had it been raining since 7 o’clock

5.      Past Future Tense

Rumus:

(+): S + would + V1

(-) : S + would + not + V1

(?) : would + S + V1

Contoh:

(+): She would study

(-) : She would not study

(?) : Would she study?

6.      Past Future Continuous Tense

Rumus :

(+): S + would + be + Ving

(-) : S + would + not + be + Ving

(?) : Would + S + be + Ving

Contoh:

(+): He would  be studying

(-) : He would not be studying

(?) : Would he be studying?

7.      Past Future Perfect Tense

Rumus :

(+): S + would + Have + V3

(-) : S + would + not + Have + V3

(?) : Would + S + Have + V3

Contoh :

(+): They would have studied at 10 tomorrow

(-) : They would will not have studied at 10 tomorrow

(?) : would they have studied at 10 tomorrow

Rumus:

(-) : S + would + not + have + been + Ving

(?) : would + S + have + been + Ving

Contoh:
